Aspire celebrates the energy and potential of the younger generation of Watlington. This bronze sculpture, shows a young person with the outstretched wings of a Red Kite.
The inspiration comes from the artist’s work with Watlington’s local secondary school, Icknield Community College, on a programme to support young people looking for alternative education and employment paths. The Red Kite was re-introduced to England by the RSPB in Watlington in 1989.

Nick says “The work represents the opportunity and responsibility that we, the older generation have, to encourage and enable children and young teenagers to have ambition, confidence and self-belief.”
