Aspire

Nick Foot

Mansle Gardens

Aspire celebrates the energy and potential of the younger generation of Watlington. This bronze sculpture shows a young person with the outstretched wings of a red kite.
The inspiration comes from the artist’s work with Watlington’s local secondary school, Icknield Community College, on a programme to support young people looking for alternative education and employment paths. The red kite was reintroduced to England by the RSPB in Watlington in 1989.
